For 5 parent representatives
info Alphabetical order
We therefore declare the following duly elected:
Mr Noel Descalzo, Pania Laskaratou, Mr Nicholas Sales, Stella Serafico and Mr Tim Willetts.
Meet your representatives
My name is Pania Laskaratou and I am standing for our Lady of Victories School Board. It has been a privilege to serve on the board for the past three years. In this time the school has achieved numerous administrative and educational goals whilst living by its mercy values and building team spirit and leadership qualities at all levels.
Having personally undertaken the policy profile it has been rewarding to watch the school strengthen existing policies and revisit ones that needed updating. It takes a hard working and mission focused team to deliver, maintain and reinforce the school’s backbone: our policies.
As the school prepares for the future with new buildings, continual personal development for our teachers and the care that each student reaches his/her potential celebrating their culture and faith, I find it is a very important time for you the parent to step forward and vote who you would like to represent you.
Thank you for considering me.
It is a pleasure to be standing again for the Board of Trustees at OLV.
Madde, my eldest daughter is in year 8, and over the 8 years she has been at OLV I have watched the school constantly improve in all areas. Hugo, my middle child is in year 3 and my youngest daughter, Eloise, will begin as a new entrant at the beginning of 2020. This means I am committed to ensuring the great progress made over the last few years continues.
I have enjoyed being a part of the current Board of Trustees, and am proud of the work both the parent and proprietors representatives have done. All involved have done a fantastic job of supporting the principal and senior leadership team, always with the goal of creating the best environment and outcomes for the children.
We are exceptionally lucky to have a stable, committed and passionate teaching staff, who we as a Board and school community must support in order to retain, for both the success and consistency for all of our children at OLV.
An integral part of OLV is our special character, I believe that the children's ability to cope with the recent events in Christchurch is a testament to the real world application of the mercy values that underpin everything that we strive to achieve at OlV.
My name is Tim Willetts and I am seeking re election to the Board of Trustees. I have had the privilege of being involved with the governance of the school with a great group of people on the board over the last 3 years. I work as a mechanical engineer in Rolleston and my wife and I will have our 4th child starting at OLV this October. Thank you for considering me for the Board of Trustees
